Tove Ditlevsen (1917–1976) was a Danish poet and novelist whose work often drew on her working-class upbringing in Copenhagen. Her books include The Faces, Vilhelm’s Room, and the acclaimed autobiographical trilogy Childhood, Youth, and Dependency.
