Annie Ernaux is the author of more than twenty works of fiction and memoir and is regarded as one of France’s most important contemporary writers. She received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2022, as well as the Prix Renaudot, the Marguerite Yourcenar Prize, the International Strega Prize, and the Prix Formentor. Her acclaimed books include A Man’s Place, A Girl’s Story, Happening, and The Years, which was shortlisted for the Man Booker International Prize.
