Earth Besieged

The year is 2052. Our newly-discovered alien allies warn that Earth has only seventeen months to prepare for a Ktarran invasion force determined to destroy our planet. That's all the time Earth has to build its defenses, but the ruling Alliance cannot unite its fractious members.

Only global mobilization can integrate the new space drives and plasma weapons that will be needed. Linguists Colonel Delano and Dr. Duan Lian – the heroes of the first alien contact – are ready to prepare the planet's defenses. However the Alliance refuses to cede authority to two junior members. Meanwhile the clock ticks.

Governments fall and panic spreads worldwide. Delano and Lian finally take command, and difficult decisions are needed to unite the globe. No matter what they decide, people are going to die.

Can Earth withstand the mighty forces of an expanding and hostile alien empire? It has never been done, but the choice is simple: defend Earth or face planetary destruction and human extinction.
