Ray Nayler is the author of The Mountain in the Sea, winner of the Locus Award for Best First Novel and a finalist for the Nebula Award and the Ray Bradbury Prize. Hailed by Locus as “one of the up-and-coming masters of SF short fiction,” his stories have appeared in Asimov’s, Clarkesworld, Analog, and other top magazines and anthologies. His work has earned multiple readers’ awards and a Theodore Sturgeon Award nomination.
Raised in California, Nayler spent two decades abroad and is fluent in several languages. He is currently a visiting scholar at George Washington University’s Elliott School and holds an MA in global diplomacy from SOAS University of London.
