Valrin is alone in the halls of his enemy. Except for the demon inside him. But there is another presence in Misla, The One, an entity that seems to even have rule over Marog in some ways. A strange new god who has sent protectors in the form of two Dwemhar warriors to protect Valrin at all times, but who does he really need protection from?

Marog is nothing as he was before. He professes he has changed, a benevolent ruler, a savior to the many Dwemhar that inhabit lower Misla. He admits his great sins before now and seeks higher calling. With his Chosen Dwemhar, holy warriors meant to rule his world, he promises that a new golden age is coming. Can Valrin discover the truth in time?

As Valrin learns of a true terror that befell the world where Misla came from, he must fight the demon within in order to thwart Marog, but he is losing control. It takes all of his power just to resist the demon and as an attack is launched on Misla, he must take action against Marog, but the demon has other convictions.
