Aruli is ready to bite her human in the leg. Hard. She believes life could be better if she and Emry finally find a place to call home. No waking up wet thanks to storms, no foraging for food and still being hungry. The missing piece of this equation is Emry agreeing.

Enter the Dragon! Which might be easier to get than she thinks in Ivy Falls. Great location, close to nature, a delightful community. There's even a potential partner for Emry—Reid seems very interested in filling that role. The dragonman is kind, intelligent, easy-going, and has plenty of muscles to fill out his scales—most things her Emry looks for.

The biggest problem is Emry himself. He's completely (deliberately?) oblivious to every clue, no matter who they're coming from, and at this point Aruli is tempted to throw Reid onto her human, lock them in an abandoned building, and trust they can figure it out on their own.

Will Aruli push Emry into fleeing? Or will her manipulations result in a happily-ever-after match?
