Clive Barker lived most of his youth in Stockport, then attended Manchester University studying medicine from 1977 to 1982.
After several years working mainly in hospitals in Preston, Lancashire, he became a GP partner in nearby Chorley for 31 years.
He retired from his practice in 2017 and now works occasionally teaching medical students and young doctors in communication skills.
This is his first book of memories from his life as a GP.
It has been written in order to thank his family and friends as well as gather some funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Great Britain.
