Ada Palmer is a historian and novelist whose work explores progress, censorship, atheism, radical thought, and the ways societies construct their own historical narratives. She teaches at the University of Chicago and is known both for Inventing the Renaissance, a provocative reexamination of the period’s mythology, and the award-winning Terra Ignota science fiction series. Her writing combines deep scholarship with ambitious speculative ideas about politics, power, and the future.
