Jesmyn Ward is the author of Sing, Unburied, Sing and Salvage the Bones, both winners of the National Book Award for Fiction. Her other works include the novel Where the Line Bleeds and the memoir Men We Reaped, which won the Chicago Tribune Heartland Prize and was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. A MacArthur “Genius” Grant recipient and associate professor of creative writing at Tulane University, Ward lives in Mississippi.
