Bill Ransom is a poet, novelist, and educator known for his diverse career spanning literature, emergency services, and humanitarian work. He co-wrote The Jesus Incident and other novels with Frank Herbert and received NEA fellowships in both poetry and fiction. Ransom founded the Port Townsend Writers’ Conference and worked as a firefighter, EMT, and educator. He retired as Dean of Curriculum at The Evergreen State College and lives in Grayland, Washington.
