Brie and Zander have confirmed their worst fears – an incoming horde is marching their way. Now, it seems, the Nameless have no choice but to team with their mortal enemy, striking a bargain for the good of the city.

To Brie, the thought is repellent, but it might just be a necessary measure. Working as one, the leaders of both the Nameless, and the Consortium, begin to form a plan to combat the sprawling army that marches on their walls. A plan that, at first, fails miserably.

In the days that follow, Brie will find herself tested in ways she never expected. With the city closed in a vise, she'll do all she can to protect those she loves from harm. And if she, Zander, and all the rest fail, the city of Haven might just cease to exist…
