A GameLit & LitRPG Novel by Sean Oswald
Book 1 of the Shaman's Call Series
Subgenres & Tropes:
- Portal Fantasy,
- Isekai,

This book is for you if you're into...
- An ogre shaman protagonist who never wanted to be a hero
- AI-controlled worlds where the rules are never what they seem
- Awkward alliances with creatures who barely speak your language
Frank never planned for the afterlife. Heck he didn't even believe in that, certainly not one controlled by an AI.
After failing to read the small print in his contract, Frank finds himself stuck in a new world as an ogre shaman. The only thing worse than trying to talk an ogre is their food, and Frank is desperate to leave.
The AI's system commands this new world, and Frank is at its mercy. Taken from his life to fulfill a role he doesn't understand, Frank soon suspects he's not in a game at all, but something for more dangerous.
If Frank's suspicions are true, it means this world needs saving, but he never signed up to be anyone's hero. The ogres think Frank is some kind of messiah while the humans think he is XP walking.
All Frank wants is to explore and make the best of his new reality; maybe even find someone who can string together more than three words to hang out with.
Instead he finds himself stuck between powers beyond him in a struggle for the fate of not just one world.
