Looks can be deceiving. A fact sometimes learned at the pointy end of a blade. It made for a very short learning curve.

Underestimating an opponent was a common mistake made by those wielding power. But when the most elite sect of assassins were involved, making that blunder could prove a particularly fatal one. But in games of subterfuge and plotting they were not the only ones with tricks up their sleeves, and sometimes death was a two-way street.

Hozark and his rag-tag crew were closing in on the mysterious visla causing so much chaos throughout the systems as he grasped for more power. But the hunter was also the hunted, it seemed, and offense and defense could quickly change places. A galactic power struggle was underway, and one that threatened not only those adept at wielding deadly magic, but the commoners as well. And they found themselves right in the middle.
