After discovering a population of man-made zombies in the city of Lancaster, the Shadow Sect Necromancers have one responsibility: to find out who's creating them.

While Scarlet struggles to control her new power, her sect shoulders her to the back of the investigation. Worse still, there's only one person who can help her: her gorgeous nemesis, Micah.

Behind the backs of their sects, Scarlet and Micah open their own investigation. And they soon learn that the person pulling the zombies' puppet strings was much closer to home than they ever realised.
