Who kidnapped the Dark Lord? And why should Cantor and Robin go find him?

Cantor and Robin have…sort of…settled into their life together, working as minstrels, and occasionally stealing expensive items from the undeserving. However, things aren't smooth or simple. Robin's still not sure about being a thief, or a dragon shifter — her dragonish tendencies are creeping to the fore. Cantor wants only one thing, to embrace the feelings that exploded between them in a searing kiss in the aftermath of stealing Nyx's crown.

That perfect day was destroyed by the arrival of Constantine, the Dark Lord. Unknown to them, he was the customer for whom they stole the crown. He was also Robin's master when she was a priest. Displeased with her apostasy, he threatened to send assassins after her. Terrified for their lives, she pushed Cantor away, and they've lived since in a wary dance, keeping silent about what lies between them.

Then the Dark Lord goes missing, and the gods want to know why; evidence points to the arrival of another rogue god. Is it the one they all fear the most?

Who does the Universal Court turn to? Their most trusted operatives, of course. But…why would Cantor and Robin do anything but rejoice that Constantine has vanished? Unfortunately, gods don't give options, and Cantor and Robin embark on a new mission, torn about whether they wish to succeed or fail.

Epic action and adventure, found family, a trickster goddess and her dragon shifter, tied up with splashes of (very) slow burn romance and humor.
