Originally from Vermont, Philip Chase is an English professor specializing in medieval literature. As part of the thriving fantasy community on YouTube, he runs a channel ("Philip Chase" or "PhilipChaseTheBestofFantasy") dedicated to exploring the fantasy genre. In addition to Old English and Old Norse, influences that appear in his Edan Trilogy include knowledge of Welsh and time spent living in South Asia, where he learned Nepali. He lives in New Jersey with his family.
