Before I met him, I was on track to become class valedictorian. Mom had just gotten her job back as a professor at Oak Hill College, and my OCD was under control—mostly. But when Mom disappeared, my search for her led me to Jack and his Valentines, a diverse “family” with glowing hearts on their hands and the ability to control good luck. Mom may have been captured by the dark suits and forced to serve their bad luck power. To save her, I must become a Valentine.

I find myself whisked into their world of opulent mansions, gorgeous people, and fancy cars. But being a demigoddess isn't all glamor and popularity—it can be deadly.

Now, I have to master my newfound luck powers, battle the dark suits, and brave the unlucky underbelly of Detroit, all while fighting my growing feelings for Jack and keeping my OCD at bay. And if I fail? I risk losing Mom forever.
