The realm is running out of time. Attica the Lone-Eyed Wolf now has four shards of the Crown of Shadows in his possession, but he needs eleven to make it whole. And Eli, the Child of Light he pledged to protect, is changing faster than anyone foresaw, edging closer with each passing day to the very thing the world begged Attica to destroy: a monster.

Below Attica await the final tiers of the Spiralrealm, where a throned horror watches games staged for an audience of ghosts and a powerful Duke holds more pieces of the Crown than anyone else alive. To reach him, Attica must wield power that threatens to unmake him and trust an ally who has every reason to want him dead.

The Crown can mend the realm. It can even return what Attica has lost. But the price of power always comes due, and when it does, our hero will have to choose between the dead he carries and the living he swore to save.
