This book is for you if you're into...
- Snarky urban fantasy with a protagonist split into three versions
- Quests involving Death, Fate, and magical body mishaps
- Characters juggling soul-searching and rescuing kidnapped friends
If the world thought one of me was bad enough, try three…My name is Cal Thorpe, and I am on a quest to find my missing soul.
Death gave me his still-beating heart as a beacon to help find his mother, Fate. She is apparently the only person who can find my wayward soul, but getting her to cooperate is proving to be more difficult than I anticipated.
Namely, because my friends were kidnapped by unknown magical forces while helping me on my quest. And when I did find Fate, she split me into three.
Now, me, my soul, and my Reaper magic are trying to figure out how to get put back into one body, while also rescuing our friends. I never knew how annoying I could be until there were more of me.
Now, my quest got incredibly more complicated, and I am still carrying around Death's heart.
As always, things go downhill from there.
with Evelyn Grimald Stone “ My characters tend to not fit the standard protagonist mould; they're not the strongest, the most powerful, the loudest. They have their own problems to deal with and end up in the middle of things because they want to help people, or by mere accident. ”
