Elizabeth McKenzie is the author of The Dog of the North and The Portable Veblen, which was longlisted for the National Book Award and won the California Book Award. Her stories and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly, and Best American Nonrequired Reading, among others. She’s also the author of Stop That Girl and MacGregor Tells the World, and recently completed a translation of Giacomo Sartori’s Anatomy of the Battle with Michela Martini through an NEA Translation Fellowship.
