Ann Patchett is a bestselling author whose novels and nonfiction works have earned widespread acclaim and numerous literary honors, including the National Humanities Medal and the PEN/Faulkner Award. Her writing explores themes of family, friendship, and commitment, and has been translated into over thirty languages. In addition to her work as a novelist and essayist, she is the co-owner of Parnassus Books, an independent bookstore in Nashville, where she lives with her husband and their dog. Patchett is also a vocal champion of booksellers and the power of reading.
