With the Sacred Mother defeated, now the true battle begins.

Having returned to find his villagers safe, Lathan thinks to evacuate back to the kingdom. Henash has brought reinforcements, but they question the legitimacy of the danger the Sacred Mother poses.

When the Derithan attack forces them back to the city, hope for a rapid departure fades. Now, they have to find a way past—but they can only do that if Lathan comes to understand his true potential in time.

He must find out whether he is meant to control the elements or if he is meant to be an elemental like his father. And the decision may determine the fate of everyone.
