Charles Todd was the pen name of the mother-and-son writing duo Caroline and Charles Todd. They were best known for their historical mystery series set in post-World War I England, featuring Inspector Ian Rutledge of Scotland Yard. They also wrote the Bess Crawford series, which follows a British nurse serving in France during World War I. Caroline Todd passed away in 2021, while Charles Todd continued their literary legacy. They were based in North Carolina and Delaware, respectively.
