Tim Dorsey (1961–2023) was an American novelist best known for his long-running series featuring Serge A. Storms, a chaotic, darkly comic vigilante roaming Florida. Born in Indiana and raised in Florida, Dorsey studied at Auburn University, where he edited the student paper, then worked as a reporter and editor in Alabama and at The Tampa Tribune. He left journalism in 1999 to write full-time. Dorsey lived in Tampa with his family and remained a devoted baseball fan.
