Terry Pratchett (1948–2015) was the beloved creator of the Discworld series and the author of more than fifty bestselling books, with over 100 million copies sold worldwide. His work has been adapted for stage and screen, and he received numerous honors, including the Carnegie Medal and a knighthood for services to literature—though he often joked that his greatest contribution was not writing any.
