Tash Aw is an internationally acclaimed novelist and short story writer whose work explores identity, migration, and modern life in Southeast Asia. Born in Taipei to Malaysian parents and raised in Kuala Lumpur, he later moved to Britain for university. His novels include The Harmony Silk Factory, Map of the Invisible World, and Five Star Billionaire, earning major international prizes and Booker Prize longlistings. His short fiction has won an O. Henry Prize and appeared in Granta and A Public Space.
