Susan Wittig Albert is the award-winning author of more than 130 books, including mysteries, historical fiction, memoir, and nonfiction. Her bestselling series include the China Bayles Herbal Mysteries and The Darling Dahlias. An Illinois native and longtime Texas resident, she began her career as an English professor before turning to writing full-time. A passionate advocate for women’s voices, she founded the Story Circle Network in 1997 and is a member of the Texas Institute of Letters and the Texas Literary Hall of Fame.
