Betrayal has an acidic taste to it, and secrets aren't much more appetising. Viktor is no stranger to treachery, but this one came at the worst time.

The siege has begun! The Nordlings have pushed the Adelstradians back to the walls of the city and General Lauter and his soldiers have been cut off, fighting for their lives to prevent the barbarians' naval force from beaching. Reality bends and shatters as things that were once men disembark black ships, bearing impossible weapons and screaming battle cries that make soldiers' eyes bleed.
