Kate Grimshaw is back in the saddle, but this case won't be so easy… Now that Kate has a handle on her powers (mostly), she's back at work, wrangling errant spirits with a side of mundane cleaning to bring in extra income.

All is well until one of her cleaning jobs goes awry after she stumbles over the body of a popular shop owner. With no real clues to go by, Kate is again under suspicion from the newest detective in town. That is until someone from Kate's not-too-distant past shows up in Hallow Hills with strange news.

New spirits swirl around Hallow Hills, all drawn to the rarity of a new Spirit Walker. But that's not her main concern. Someone is keeping big secrets about their heritage and this murder, leading Kate and her friends down a harrowing path of discovery.
