Publisher Description

Frida Ransom is a human/fae hybrid. During the war with the fae, she and her mother lived a lonely existence so no one would discover the truth. Now the war has ended and, with her mother dead, Frida is lonelier than ever.

So it comes as a surprise when she's asked to join a mission to explore a world in another dimension. It's the only good thing to come out of the war: inter-dimensional portals the fae used to invade, now ideal for colonisation.

However, human and fae factions oppose the mission, and Frida especially, once her identity is discovered. Attempts are made to sabotage the mission and assassinate Frida, persecution which torments this lonely, vulnerable young woman even further. As her grip on sanity loosens, and with her special abilities, it makes her more of a threat than an asset.

Because someone who has been hurt by fae and humans alike can be manipulated. Waiting in their destination is something malevolent and cunning, ready to do just that. It needs Frida to fulfil its plans, which threaten the existence of humanity and the fae.
