Nick Martell is the author of The Kingdom of Liars and the Legacy of the Mercenary King trilogy. Born in Guelph, Ontario and raised in Huntington, New York, he began writing in fifth grade after being inspired by Andrew Clements’ Frindle. He went on to study creative writing at Susquehanna University, where he also minored in French, swam varsity as a walk-on, and spent a semester abroad in France.
Before publishing his debut at age 23, Nick worked a variety of jobs, from QA testing in New York City to farming in Ireland. He now lives near Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he writes, swims, runs (sometimes), and trains as a self-described lazy triathlete—under the watchful eye of his dog, Murphy.
