Beyond the Forever Night

For about thirty seconds, everything was perfect.

Thalia is safe. I made it back from the Fey Realm. Theo kissed me. I kissed him back. And somewhere along the way, I realised I’m hopelessly in love with my dangerously attractive boss.

So naturally, I got arrested.

Someone betrayed me. My secret is out, and the Conclave knows I’m Dracul. The forbidden bloodline everyone thought had been wiped out over a century ago.

Apparently, they liked us better extinct.

Now Theo and I are prisoners, and I’m about to stand trial before vampires who decided what I am long before I ever got a say.

The trial is just a formality. I'm already dead. Literally.

They think every Dracul story ends the same way. Power. Tyranny. The Forever Night.

I think they’re full of shit.

At least, I really hope they are.

Because the more I learn about my blood, the harder it is to ignore the things I’ve done. The power I’ve used. And that little voice inside me that always seems to know exactly what everyone else should be doing.

I must not let my blood control me.

But first, I need to survive the night.
