At the Mavens, Lana Carson is known as the Chameleon for her unique ability to blend into any situation and to change her personality to fit in. When undercover on assignment, she truly becomes someone new, and her newest assignment is no different. Except, while undercover as a driver at a monster truck circuit to figure out who keeps sabotaging the drivers, she doesn’t have to try that hard, not when she spent her entire childhood on the track. This should be her easiest assignment to date, except for the fact that Roman DeLuca seems determined to get in her way.

Roman DeLuca has spent the last few years as the bad boy on Indy Racing, catching the eye of the press and winning titles since he came on the circuit at 22. But when he stumbled into one too many scandals, he was suspended for the year. He goes back to his roots, returning to drive for Monster Smash to clean up his image, stay busy, and keep out of trouble. But when strange things start happening around the circuit, and a stunning blonde with an attitude problem comes along, he realizes that it might be harder than he originally thought.
