We were opposites from the start. No one could have imagined the strong connection we shared, but I fell hard and fast for the edgy bad boy with the soulful dark eyes. He captured my heart and fell just as hard for me too.

We were inseparable and in love. The perfect couple. Until we weren’t.

Now senior year is here and we're both super busy. He has football. I have volleyball. And we have less and less time for one another. The distance between us grows every day until eventually, I hear the devastating rumors - Diego's cheating on me. And I feel like I lost the other half of my heart.

Breaking up with him is the hardest thing I've ever done, but thankfully there are only a few more months of school, and then I can leave for college. He’ll just be a sad memory in my rearview mirror.
