They stole my power…but I will get it back.

My ascension nearly killed me. If I don't learn to control my magic now it could hurt everyone around me. A piece of me is missing, and whether I like it or not, the only person who can help me is Beckett. And I definitely don't like it.

Beckett is infuriating and overbearing, and no matter where I go he's always there. He even haunts my dreams, and the more we fight the more intense the dreams become. He wants me to trust him and now I don't really have a choice. I know he's keeping secrets from me, but what he doesn't know is I have some of my own.

I'm surrounded by treacherous enemies, the devious council, and the scary warlock rebellion…and now I have to make the hardest decision of my life: return to my old, safe life as an average human girl or embrace the darkness inside me and become the warlock I was born to be. But I'm no damsel in distress, I will save myself.
