Maxine Paetro is an American author best known for her long-running collaboration with James Patterson on the Women’s Murder Club series and several standalone novels. She began her career in advertising, later publishing three novels and co-authoring the biography Dream Lovers: The Magnificent Shattered Lives of Bobby Darin and Sandra Dee. In 1979 she wrote How to Put Your Book Together and Get a Job in Advertising, regarded as a standard reference in the industry. Her books have frequently topped bestseller lists, and she continues to write while tending her celebrated garden, Broccoli Hall, in Connecticut, where she lives with her husband, John A. Duffy.
