Song of the Nightingale

With the balance of Harmony at stake, two opposing sides face off to keep the Dark One sealed in the Void. Caught between the Singers and the Silent Men, Ivy Lyre, a young girl from a drought-strangled land, is trapped with her drunkard father after her mother is murdered, dependent on her hapless uncle to keep them fed, pursued by rogues, and then discovered by the Singers.

Ivy must learn to control her newly discovered Song to survive in a harsh, manipulative world, where family is what you make of it. Beauty is destructive and to love means to lose everything. Light fades quickly, and in the darkness to follow, the Nightingale sings.
