Mai Mochizuki is a Japanese author born in Hokkaido and based in Kyoto, best known for her popular, magical-realist novel The Full Moon Coffee Shop (Mangetsu Coffee-ten) and the 4th Kyoto Book Award winner Kyoto Teramachi Sanjou no Holmes. She won the 2013 Everystar Ebook Grand Prix and is a member of the Mystery Writers of Japan.
