Lidia Yuknavitch is the national bestselling author of the novels Thrust, The Book of Joan, Dora: A Headcase, and The Small Backs of Children, which won the Oregon Book Awards Ken Kesey Award for Fiction. She has also published Allegories of Violence, the short story collection Verge, and two memoirs, The Chronology of Water and Reading the Waves. Her work has appeared in Guernica, Ms., The Iowa Review, and many other publications. Lidia founded Corporeal Writing in Portland, Oregon, and holds a doctorate in literature from the University of Oregon. She is also a dedicated swimmer.
