Rumors of murdered witnesses draw Mike Spears north into the mountains of Idaho and Montana where a corrupt lawman may be doing a drug cartel’s bloody work. At first it seems a case of ordinary human evil—the kind Spears usually handles adeptly and within his own harsh code of justice. But then Spears attracts the attention of a spy for the Kultec, the blood-soaked techno-Aztec empire reaching into our world from another reality. And as the hunter becomes the hunted, Spears senses something enormous moving through the forests of the Northwest—one of the world-walking tribes behind the Bigfoot legends.
