Katherine Dunn

Katherine Dunn (1945–2016) was the author of Geek Love, a finalist for the National Book Award and the Bram Stoker Award, as well as the novels Toad, Attic, and Truck. She was also an award-winning boxing journalist, contributing to publications such as Esquire, KO Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, Playboy, The Ring, Sports Illustrated, and Vogue. Her boxing journalism was collected in One Ring Circus. In 2004, she received the Dorothea Lange–Paul Taylor Prize alongside photographer Jim Lommasson for their book Shadow Boxers.
