Apparently, a ten-second video can ruin your life… Ava had never expected a viral TikTok video to be her ruin, but here she is with no boyfriend, no job, and no public dignity. Thankfully, she has her sister’s wedding in the Swiss Alps to distract her. Her baby sister, who happens to be marrying a Swiss watchmaking heir at one of the most luxurious chalets in the Swiss Alps. Life really isn’t fair sometimes.

The wedding guest list is a venerable who’s who of European society, and even as the Maid of Honor, Ava is completely out of her depth (although the private chef and the open mini-bar in her room help). Things get even more stressful when her ex-boyfriend shows up on the arm of the groom’s bombshell Italian cousin.

Despite the all-expense-paid luxury, the week is not off to a good start. Until she meets the Best Man, Leo. He’s charming, handsome, kind, and wealthy to boot–everything a girl could want. But the reality of their very different worlds is stark. Ava has an average life back in Colorado–Leo is basically Swiss royalty. Ava knows they don’t stand a chance. And she’s had enough go wrong in her life lately to add heartbreak to the list.
