Joy Fielding is a Canadian novelist whose career began after early work as an actress in Toronto and Los Angeles. She eventually returned to writing full time, publishing numerous novels that often center on suspense, relationships, and domestic tension. Fielding has said she is especially interested in character and the emotional lives of her protagonists, often writing from a female perspective. She lives in Toronto and also has a home in Palm Beach, Florida.
