Joey Batey is an English actor, musician, and author best known for playing the bard Jaskier in Netflix’s The Witcher, where he performs fan favorites like “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher,” “Her Sweet Kiss,” and “Burn Butcher Burn.” Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, he studied languages at Cambridge and trained at L’École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq. He has appeared in Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool, The Riot Club, Strike, and Knightfall. Batey is also the vocalist, songwriter, and co-founder of the indie folk band The Amazing Devil.
