The Order of the Star Blade has one member, and that must change.
Jake Fox wrestles free of Sotalorian politics to return home and learn what really happened to Earth. The only people he trusts are rebels, outcasts, and a starship that should have been scrapped decades ago.
The sentient weapon he captured from his defeated rival is a dangerous burden, and the viceroy seems to have turned against him.
All is not well for the only Star Blade. He uses the last of his influence to secure pardons for his friends, which are quickly rescinded by the Emperor's political machine, forcing them to run.
But escaping the galactic dragnet is the easy part. During the dangerous voyage to Earth, Jake and his crew discover the resurgence of Earth's monstrous enemies and that his star blade has secrets.
The Srack want something his sentient blade knows is hidden on Jake's homeworld, and it will change him and the weapon forever.
Some choices are permanent. Can they make the right one?
At the end of the day, the galaxy needs the Order of the Star Blade to fight for truth, and for that to happen, Jake Fox must master an upgraded and overpowered weapon, defeat the enemies of Earth, and find recruits.
