James Becker is the pen name of Peter Stuart Smith, a former Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm officer who spent more than twenty years involved in covert operations around the world. As James Becker, he writes the Chris Bronson thrillers and Lost Treasure of the Templars novels. Under the name James Barrington, he is known for the Paul Richter action series, and as Peter Smith he has published works of military history. He now lives in the Pyrenean principality of Andorra, writing full-time across multiple genres.
