Harper Lee (1926–2016) was an American author best known for her classic novel To Kill a Mockingbird, which won the Pulitzer Prize in 1961. The novel explores themes of racial injustice, moral growth, and empathy through the eyes of young Scout Finch in the American South. Lee’s second novel, Go Set a Watchman, was published in 2015, offering a complex continuation of the Finch family’s story. Her work remains a cornerstone of American literature.
