Fiona McIntosh began her career in speculative fiction, finding international success with sixteen novels before moving into historical fiction. Her historical releases regularly land in Australia’s National Top 10, even during the highly competitive Christmas season. She also writes crime fiction, with her Detective Jack Hawksworth series optioned for television, and several historical novels, including The Pearl Thief, The Lavender Keeper, and The French Promise, optioned for film. In 2025, she published her first children’s picture book, Harry and Gran Bake a Cake.
