Fannie Flagg is an American novelist, actress, and comedian best known for Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, which she later adapted into the Oscar-nominated screenplay for Fried Green Tomatoes. She is also widely recognized for her television work, especially as a regular panelist on Match Game. Her writing is known for its warmth, humor, and Southern storytelling sensibility. She lives in California and Alabama.
