Lyra Vaelion has spent her life in brutal training beneath the harsh suns of Solvandyr. As time passes and hatred turns to heat, Lyra learns that light can blind as easily as it guides, and that the darkness she's been raised to hate might be a shelter instead of the storm.

But one way or another, the war between the Lightbringers and the Darkwielders must end. And Lyra stands in the middle.
